I had made an awesome German chocolate cake from scratch for Blake Parker, but I dropped it on the floor in McDonalds.
I salvaged the top two layers, and he was gracious, calling it German chocolate upside down cake.
Rick, the best groundskeeper in the world.
Kerry Wood was honored.
Lots of fun kids
In the third, the Cardinals scored three runs. In the fourth, the Cubs scored two runs. In the 6th, the Cards scored one more.
So in the sixth, Alfonso homered. The Cards were up 4-3.
In a very beautiful moment, Kerry Wood sang the stretch with his kids. What a great guy. I can't believe he retired.
Oh, and then my name was advertised because I was the fan of the game!
The Cardinals ended up winning 6-3. But the real story was that it was rookie dress up day. I decided not to post most of the pictures, as they were a bit dirty (thanks to Matt Garza's planning). But here's some of them, including a few of Wellington Castillo.
Oh and here's Kerry Wood.
And Joe Mather, who is not a rookie.
Here they are.
Rizzo actually signed autographs wearing this.
Those are Tony Campana's legs.
