Game #59 Twins at White Sox, September 3, 2012

I got to the game early, and OH LOOK here's Gordon Beckham! I have wanted a photo with him FOREVER. I just wish I had not been wearing a Twins shirt.

I adore Cole DeVries, Twins pitcher. He's going to a big star. You heard it here first.

Angela came to see some people.

She got to meet Hawk Harrelson.

There they are. My Twins are in town for the last series. Here's Mauer, Morneau, Ryan Doumit, and Trevor Plouffe. Perfect.

Here's Wayne, the Twins equipment manager and one of my favorite people. He missed the last road trip.

Twins stretching and warming.

And Jamey Carroll signing.

Kevin Hickey was honored again.

Tyrese threw out the first pitch.

In the first, Ben Revere singled and went to second on a wild pitch. Joe Mauer walked.  Then Revere stole second. But nobody scored.

The the bottom of the second, A.J. singled.

Then Gordon homered. I feel it was the good luck I gave him when he met me that morning.

Samuel Deduno pitching for the Twins. De Aza singled, then stole second, then stole third. Nice.

Hector Santiago pitched for the Sox.

Here's the elusive Glen Perkins making his way to the bullpen.

This blurry picture shows that Jamey Carroll homered in the fifth.

Paul Konerko walked in the fifth, giving me a chance to see my two favorite AL first basemen together.

Alex Rios doubled and Konerko went to third. Deduno was sad.

But I think Plouffe cheered him up.

And Justin helped too.

Here's Darin Mastroianni. He walked.

Joe Mauer up to bat.

He has a log cabin in Minnesota. He's not a true Florida guy.

Then Darin stole second.

Then Mauer walked.

Robin decided to bring Nate Jones in.

Mauer got caught stealing second. This is the closest I have ever seen him question an ump or show bad manners of any kind.

In the seventh, Chris Parmalee doubled.

Jesse Crain pitches against his old team.

Robin brings in Matt Thornton.

Paul has had a rough day.

They have become best friends.

Kyle Waldrop comes in to relieve Deduno in the bottom of the seventh. Paul Konerko singled to drive in Youk, putting the Sox ahead 3-1.

Matt Thornton continued pitching into the 8th.

Joe Mauer hit a double.

Brett Myers came on to relieve.

Now Joe makes friends with the umpire he questioned. Of course. Minnesota nice.

These mustaches are for good luck, I guess. Boo.

Morneau is up with Mauer on base. M&M boys getting it done.

Joe's signature move.

Morneau singled to drive in Mauer.

Casey Fien came in to pitch the seventh for the Twins, with the White Sox up 3-2.

With Ramirez on base, Beckham continued his "I met Alex" good luck with an RBI double, and then he advanced to third on an error by Mastroianni.

Addison Reed came on to finish the game.

And Jordan Danks enjoyed playing time in left field.

Parmalee singled, but that was it.

White Sox win, 4-2.
