Game #58 Giants at Cubs, September 2, 2012

This will be short because my camera died before the game started and all I had was my lame camera phone.

Sappy and Tony back again!

Matt Cain was on the mound for the Giants. I'm so glad I got to see Perfect Cain pitch in person. He wasn't perfect today, but MAN can he pitch! Travis Wood pitched for the Cubs.

Here's a faraway picture but Steve doubled in the second! Play him every day!

Here's Blake warming up. I got my hopes up that he would pitch, but he didn't.

There was lots of scoring. In the third, lovely Angel Pagan singled, driving in Nady. Sandoval singled, driving in Cain. Then Posey singled, driving in Pagan. Giants up 3-0.

Bottom of then third, DeJesus drove in Barney. Cubs down 3-1.

Bottom of the fifth DeJesus singled to drive in Barney AGAIN. Then Sori homered to bring in Rizzo and David. Cubs up 5-3!

In the top of the sixth, Belt tripled to drive in Nady, and then he scored on Manny Corpas's wild pitch. Giants tie the game at 5.

In the bottom of the 7th, here's David Sappelt's Cubs/Wrigley Field debut!

Angela did homework the whole game.

The Giants won 7-5. Oh well. I like the Giants, and I guess the Cubs are probably not going to the playoffs at this point.
