Here's the Giants in town! I love the Giants. Everyone said that this team never signs, but I didn't even try that hard and got several autographs. Not Buster Posey or Tim Lincecum, and certainly not my favorite ex-Cub Ryan Theriot, whose shirt I wore that day, but several of them stopped.
Also, my twitter friend Kara was at the game, but I didn't see her. Angela did, though. Next year, we're all three watching the Giants together.
A lot of the boys came on the bus.
That's Lincecum in the Beats.
My favorite autograph was Barry Zito. He was so nice.
There he is. Ryan Theriot. I still love you.
Panda
Angela's day got a million times better when Jeff stopped.
Jeff apparently could not sacrifice the time to focus on me.
For Michael Bowden's birthday, we got the health freak some bran muffins.
I still love Steve the best.
James Russell is my boy!
But here's my favorite guy, Blake. Will he pitch today? P.S. I made him M&M cookies and packed them in this Cody Simpson lunchbox.
There are many good guys in the game, but I have never seen anyone sign as much as Blake does.
He is a big Justin Bieber fan and signed Angela's folder.
It was a rainy day, so the boys took their BP under the bleachers.
Justin Germano pitching today.
Against Tim Lincecum.
Jon Lovitz threw out the first pitch.
YAYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! Tony and Dave up from AAA!!!!!!!!!!!
First, Pablo Sandoval singled.
Here he is: NL MVP hopeful Buster Posey. I adore him. He also singled in the first.
Then the great and mighty and weird but I love him Hunter Pence walked to load the bases.
I'm just going to cut to the chase--the Giants left the first inning up 4-0.
Here's Tim Lincecum
And Panda
We couldn't do much against Lincecum in the first. Rizzo singled but that was it.
Tim Lincecum flied out but I put this picture up anyway. Giants scored another run in the second.
With Darwin on base, DeJesus homered in the third.
Rizzo doubled.
It started to rain.
Jeff Beliveau is stretching.
In the bottom of the seventh, Tony Campy hit for Germano but struck out. I was just glad to see him back up from AAA.
Lincecum was just DEALING.
But then Michael Bowden came in, and he dealt, too.
Another ex-Cub, Xavier Nady.
This about sums up the average Cubs fan.
Tim killing it.
Blake and Alan making plans.
Lovitz came on to sing the stretch.
The Giants and Lincecum continued to be bosses. With Wellington on base in the bottom of the seventh, Lincecum left the game.
Ex-Twin Jose Mijares came on in relief.
Steve.....
Babyface Posey is back up again. He struck out. Good job, Michael Bowden.
Hunter Pence doubled because he is a warlock.
Jeff continues to warm up.
He came in to pitch with two outs and Pence on second in the eighth.
Castro and Valbuena shoot the breeze while Jeff warms.
Friends.
And outfield friendships.
Beliveau pitched like a super boss.
Mather pinch-hit in the bottom of the eighth and singled.
Oh well. That's it.
Manny Corpas and Wellington Castillo discuss strategy for the ninth.
And here he writes his mysterious words.
Bottom line: The Giants won, 5-2.
We have been supporting Dave Sappelt since his time in AAA this year. Now we see him at Wrigley.
