Game #61 Twins at White Sox, September 5, 2012

Last Twins series of the season, and I don't know if I can handle it.

But I really can't handle these ridiculous mustaches...

Every once in a while, A.J. is nice to his former team, especially if Dan Gladden is present.

Jake Peavy on the mound today against P.J. Walters.

Finally a photo with Sox ace closer Addison Reed.

As usual, Jake was amazing.

As usual, Morneau was amazing.

P.J. Walters wasn't bad. There was just a little problem with one big hit in the first inning.

DeWayne Wise singled, Kevin Youkilis walked, and then Youk walked, and then Dunn walked, and the bases were loaded.

Morneau is not too worried, but Alex Rios is up to bat.

And Alex Rios hit a grand salami.

Here's where Gordon Beckham singled in the first. Don't worry--he didn't score.

I had to tell Angela that our friend Ho Pun was at The Cell.

In the top of the third, Matt Carson singled, and then Pedro Florimon singled, and then Ben Revere was hit by a pitch.

Don't worry. He's fine. And now the bases are loaded.

They can't catch fast Ben.

Anyway, Escobar hit a sacrifice fly and the Twins scored.

Here's Trevor first at third like a boss. What a year this kid is having!

I don't get it. They want A.J. to resign? :)

Another chance for the Twins comes when Ryan Doumit singled in the fourth.

Oh, that mustache is awful.

Chris Parmalee singled, putting Doumit at third.

After a little talk, Peavy is still good to go.

Well, as much as Ryan wants to score, he won't.

Oh, you wanted to see Trevor Plouffe's eye black?

In the bottom of the fourth, Gordon reached first on an error, but he was caught stealing second so it all evened out.

Here's Glen Perkins making his way to the bullpen.

Here's Joe Mauer in the sixth. He's swinging here, but he walked.

Morneau, on the other hand, struck out.

Trevor Plouffe grounded out here, but he looks good doing it.

In the bottom of the sixth, Konerko walked.

Then, just for fun, Rios homered again.

Trevor and Justin discuss things as Alex Burnett comes on in relief.

Eduardo and Pedro also have a talk.

Then Brian Duensing came on in relief later in the inning.

I love Justin Morneau.

Here's Duensing. He was great.

Coming in the game with Beckham at first ...

...and Ramirez at second...

... Duensing got Wise to ground out and we got out of the inning.

Matt Thornton came on to pitch in the eighth.

With one man on and two outs, Morneau grounded into a double play. The Twins were just not catching any breaks.

Drew Butera talks pet adoption with the ump.

Here's Jared Burton to pitch the eighth. He was swell.

In the ninth inning, Ryan Doumit doubled, and then Plouffe singled.

Carson hit a sacrifice fly to score Doumit, but that was it. Sox win 6-2.
