Reds warming up. We met so many Reds! Here's Bronson Arroyo.
Here's Todd Frazier.
Here's Brandon Phillips. I love him.
Ryan Hanigan
Miguel Cairo
And it's always a treat to run into a former student! Here's Austin Anderson, whose family roots for the Reds. Some day he will be a famous sports broadcaster!
Neville and me
I love our seats. But they're on the opposite side from Ryan Braun. I got them when I thought Joey Votto would be at first so I could be near both him and Phillips. But Votto is still injured.
Nyger and Phillips are friendly.
So close to the Brewers warming up!
Let me tell you something---Mike Fiers was amazing! SPOILER ALERT: He pitched a perfect game through six innings.
So amazing that Neville and I walked around the park during the first inning because he'd never been there and he wanted food.
He got a corn dog.
I got a corn brat. Seriously, this park has the best food in baseball.
While we were gone, Aramis hit a two-run homer in the first to put the Brewers ahead 2-0.
In the second Lucroy singled, but he didn't score.
He was called out on a fielder's choice.
Here's awesome Carlos Gomez.
Mike Fiers was still amazing.
And of course, Johnny Cueto was good too. He always is. Just not better than Fiers.
All this no-hit nonsense was boring Braun.
My brother was actually having fun. I promise.
In the bottom of the 4th, Rickie Weeks got on base with a fielder's choice and entertained us with his speed.
Arroyo wants to play. Not yet, young man.
Lucroy singled. But that was it.
Did you want more Ryan Braun photos?
Miller Park is so cool.
Look at that no-hit/perfection.
A sausage race.
Bernie wants a homer so he can go down the slide.
Finally in the seventh, Zack Cozart breaks up the perfect game with a leadoff double. Drew Stubbs flied out to move the runner over, and Brandon Phillips sacrificed to score Cozart. Reds are on the board.
But the Brewers answered back in a similar fashion. Rickie Weeks doubled, and then Lucroy grounded out to move him to third. Weeks scored when Segura grounded out.
What a great game. Xavier Paul and Ryan Hanigan got on base. for the Reds in the top of the eighth, but Fiers calmed down with the help of his mates.
Miguel Cairo came on to run for Hanigan. But no one scored.
Ex Cub Sean Marshall on the mound! I love him.
Here's that stud of a pitcher.
This kid was dancing like a BO$$.
Brewers win 3-1.
