Game #56 Brewers at Cubs, August 29, 2012

Usually, I can't go to weekday games early, but I had some errands to run and had to take off school early. And when I arrived at the ballpark, I met up with my man Ryan Braun.

Here's some guy named Joe Mather and a smiling Darwin and so many more.

LaHomer.

Travis and Joe shooting the breeze.

Samardzija warming up

Darwin and the boys warming up

I love this guy. Best usher ever. Even if the Cubs are losing, he can make me laugh.

Even with Samardzija on the mound, the Brewers were too hot to cool off. Aoki singled, then Braun singled in the first to put Aoki on third. Aramis grounded out and Aoki scored. But I only took pictures of Ryan.

Garza is DYING being on the DL. You can tell how bored he is.

Ho Pun kept selling.

Here's the awesome Mike Fiers on the mound for the Brewers.

Cool Samardzija shirt.

Castro doubled in the first inning. The end.

LaHomer singled in the second.

Wellington doubled, putting LaHomes at third.

Our hopes began to rise...

Darwin grounded out and LaHomer scored to tie the game at 1.

Steve came out to help warm Jeff.

The moon looked cool.

Aoki reached on an infield single in the third. Samardzija kept him close.

Then Braun doubled.

But they didn't score.

It was a nailbiter for Braun!

Here's Castillo who should be Clevenger talking to Jeff.

It was a quiet tied game until the top of the seventh when Nyger Morgan hit a bunt single but reached second on a throwing error by the Shark.

Then he reached third on a wild pitch.

Segura singled, driving in Morgan. Then Segura stole second and reached third by a Castillo throwing error. It really should be Clevenger behind the plate. Then Segura scored on a Valbuena error. Errors galore, and the Brewers lead 3-1.

Here's LaHomer.

Here's Aramis, who reached on a single in the eighth but didn't score.

Darwin Barney singled in the eighth.

Then came Rizzo, who grounded into a fielder's choice.

Poor Darwin. No scoring for him.

Dale argues again.

Lucroy leads the talk with the Mike Fiers and the boys. Mike pitched eight innings of excellent ball.

Here comes James Russell.

Not as hopeful. Well, Angela is.

We had great seats.

The closer to see John Axford with. Cubs lose 3-1.

Game #55 Brewers at Cubs, August 28, 2012

ARGODHDIIIDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blake Parker is back!

Here's some cool cats. They were at the point where they were flirting with Angela on the regular.

Reunited and it feels so good. But seriously, I am ready for Blake to start pitching again.

Sometimes I steal his sunglasses and glove. On his glove he has his grandparents initials. Isn't that just dolly?

I have to put this in because Angela likes it better than the other one.

But in this one, Blake is hiding his dip.

Aoki came over and signed for us! I got my brother an autograph, which he was thrilled about because Aoki is his favorite player. The hand you see there in the bottom left is my friend Nick's. He's a huge Brewers fan. He's one of the people I refer to as my summer family--I just met him and see him at games. He's a gem.

Elisabeth Moss was there to throw out the first pitch. MAD MEN!

On the mound you see my boy Travis Wood.

At the plate, you see my boy Ryan Braun.

Rickie Weeks

Angela and I love the Cubs so much. But neither of us felt well that night, and our seats were terrible. We mostly just came to greet Blake's return; we spent a lot of time walking around.

BUT here's Ryan biting his nails.

Angela was chosen as the Good Sport of the Game! Now we each won once!

This was an interesting event. Sitting in the upstairs with a bum leg was Cubs prospect Rashad Chapman! We also met his dad. Super nice people!

One thing I'm sad I didn't get a photo of: Travis Wood hitting a home run. Probably the best-hitting pitcher in baseball. His was the only Cubs run.

Shawn Camp came on to relieve in the top of the 8th with the Brewers up 3-1.

Here's Garza, not cheering anybody up right now.

At least I got to see John Axford pitch.

Happy they won 4-1.

BUT I did get to meet Brett Jackson after the game, which was neato.

And we got to talk to Steve, who had a really bad haircut. He was pretty sad about the haircut.

Here's Blake, always making new friends.

Blake is the best dressed Cub, and I always love his shoes.

I want to leave you with a picture of Joe Mather's perfect jawline.
