Game # 18 Twins at White Sox, 5/24/12

The saddest day of all is the last day of the Twins' series. We had an especially hard time saying goodbye to Wayne. We gave him something to remember us by. :)

Just look at that smile! And that hair.....

We love this guy.

Here are some of our attempts to take a photo together at our amazing seats:

Hi, Trevor.

Justin Morneau

Snoop Dogg himself was there to throw out the first pitch. I'm not sure if he had switched his name over to Snoop Lion yet, but no matter his name, the boys were gaga over him.

I was a row behind the Twins dugout, so I saw firsthand. Trevor Plouffe and the boys were daring each other to go over and talk to him. It was hilarious. Good to know stars get starstruck, too.

Trevor is trying to act cool, but he is so excited that he just met Snoop.

The bullpen boys were all agaga too.

 Joe was like, whatevs.
 Ryan Doumit was like, Heyeyeyey.

And now, for some shots of Brian Dozier's hair. We started a twitter account for it.

This is definitely NOT Cole DeVries. This is Luke Hughes, the beautiful Australian infielder who had been released from the Twins earlier that season.
 B Doze game face.
Oh, you guys wanted more shots of his hair?
 Babyface Eric Komotsu

Phillip Humber was less than perfect, but he wasn't terrible.
This is Cole DeVries. I love him.

This is Drew Butera. I love him.
This is Cole DeVries first major league pitch ever.
 This is Justin Morneau.
This is Paul Konerko leading the league in hitting.
This is Wayne, the coolest cat I know.
Okay, so back to the game. It was a hitting dream. First AJP hit a home run off DeVries in the bottom of the second. Top of the third, they intentionallly walked Joe Mauer and was left strandypoo.

Oh, just Trevor Plouffe and Company honoring the hero of the game. #AMERICA

Gordon Beckham singled.

Paul Konerko singled, driving in two runs. Then Rios doubled to drive in Pauly. At the end of the third, Sox were up 4-1.
Drew Butera was hit by a pitch, but then was forced out.
In the fifth inning, Denard Span doubled, then reached third on a Ben Revere sacrifice. He scored on an Humber wild pitch.

Then Joe Mauer got up to bat and went ahead and hit a home run. Score is now 4-3. That's not so bad.

 You.
Willingham walked, Morneau doubled. Robin Ventura was like, NO MORE. And Nate Jones came in.

Brian Dozier hit a single to drive in the boys. Twins 5; Sox 4.
 Joe's "I'm-proud-of-BDoze" game face.

Alexi Casilla doubled, but Dozier was thrown out at home trying to score, so Casilla went to third because he could. Some more walks, but ultimately that was all that inning.
De Aza supposedly hit a home run, but the Twins (Gardy) were like NOOOOO. SO that was like an hour of my life.

Ultimately, they took the home run away and De Aza struck out.

A foul ball hit this bottle. I thought it was a cool imprint.

This guy chatted with us before he Danced for Da Burger. I gave him some tips. He won.

But back to the game--Konerko homered to tie the game.

Then Alex Rios homered, so little Cole left the game and Brian Duensing came in.

I feel like Gordon just wants to hang out with Paul, and Paul is always making excuses why he's too busy.

While you wait for Duensing to warm up, here are some awesome Joe Mauer faces.

Well De Aza homered for real this time, and by the end of the inning, The Sox were leading 10-5.

But then Justin Morneau hit a home run. Sooooo that made the score 10-6.

Jesse Crain came in.
 Gordon did the happy dance.
Jeff Gray came in to pitch.

Here's a ball Justin threw me. Just kidding. It's the ball he threw Meghan. The ball he threw me was stolen by a kid.

Here's the ball he threw Meghan.

 Here's Matt Thornton.
Here's Joe Mauer, who would reach on an infield single in the top of the ninth.
We are losing but we are happy. It's because I love the White Sox too.
 Here's Jared Burton.
 Here's Addison Reed.
 Here's Eric and Brian.
 Back to Joe.

 This is Joe's signature move.

Justin Morneau hit a home run to take him and Mauer home.

But the Twins lost, 11-8.
